Microblading is a form of permanent makeup process that is done by a specially trained PMU Artist. Pigment matching your natural eyebrow color is used to create small, hair-like strokes that flawlessly fill in those thinning or bare areas of the eyebrow. You’ll be left with full, defined eyebrows that require minimal effort and look extra fabulous.
Microshading is permanent pigment applied to the entire brow with the use of teeny tattoo needles, but with a twist in technique, giving a broader coverage and a “shadow effect” giving the brows a gradient appearance with small pin- point dots.
Microshading is also referred as ‘ Brow Powder” or “Powder Brows” . The ink is the same as with Microblading, but it’s done with more needled at a time and often with an electric PMU machine that looks like a mini tattoo gun that ensures that the ink is applied consistently and evenly throughout the brow.
Microshading is the next level Brow treatment for oily and sensitive skin, giving extreme ink retention when Microblading isn’t the best choice for oily skin as the ink can fade as quickly as four weeks, going away from the normal retention that is suppose to be of two years.
Microblading is done by a microblade hand tool that creates super fine lines natural -looking hair strokes of pigment throughout the entire brow. Microshading is the same basic idea, pigment applied to the entire brow but with the use of teeny tattoo needles created with a pmu machine, but with a twist in technique, giving a broader coverage and a “shadow effect” giving the brows a gradient appearance with small pin- point dots.

While microblading is usually just uncomfortable, pain is very subjective, and some patients may be more uncomfortable than others. An anesthetic gel is used at certain points during the process to minimize pain and discomfort.
Your skin will be red, sensitive, and swollen after the procedure. Do not pick or rub at the area as this will increase irritation and can promote infection. If scabs develop, do not pick them.
You should be able to return to your normal activities on the same day as your procedure. Your PMU artist will provide you with detailed aftercare instructions based on the procedure and your skin type. Follow those instructions carefully for the best results.
The brow color will fade 20% to 30% over the 3-6 weeks following the procedure, so a touch-up is recommended 4-8 weeks after the procedure. Annual touch-ups are recommended after that.
